WSPD Winter Sessions

Westside Soccer Player Development training program is open to all U9 to U12 players interested in a competitive, tiered development program. Player groupings will be based on placing like-minded and like-skilled players together. This will allow each player to train and develop in an environment appropriate to their ability.

These are the current Practice Schedules for all teams U10 to U18. To make any changes and or requests please contact your age group Co-ordinator.

Kerrisdale offering team sessions with professional coaches starting next week (Nov 17/18).

Kerrisdale will now start offering team sessions with professional coaches starting next week (Nov 17/18).

To start we will have a coach on Kerrisdale Elementary School fields (upper and lower) on Tuesday nights and on Pt. Grey Secondary Turf on Wednesday nights. If your team trains on these nights and you would like to book a pro coach please email me (Gregor Young) with the following info:.

      1. Date requested up to December 16 (second choice recommended in case your first one is already taken)
      2. Field and time you train at
      3. Which part of the field you are on (ie. Northeast corner)
      4. Any topics you would like the pro coach to address in the session.
      5. Name of the team's coach/coaches

Once I have your request I will either confirm it with you or let you know that it is taken and ask you for another date that works for you. Coaches are expected to attend and assist in these sessions. Additionally, teams must supply the balls, cones and bibs for their session.

These sessions are available for all boys and girls U7 to U18 teams that train outdoor. At this time we are not able to offer these sessions in gyms.

In January we will rotate the pro coaches onto Kerrisdale Elementary on Wednesday and Thursday nights and then we'll rotate again in February.

U11 and U12 Teams using Kerrisdale Park

Effective immediately the goal nets and corner flags will be kept in the black storage box on the south end (NEAR THE ARENA) of Point Grey field (between the track and fence). The field box at Point Grey can be opened using the same key as all other field boxes on the Westside. Please ensure that you only use the corner flags that are in the RED caring bag with spikes on the end. The flags with a yellow base in the field box are only for Point Grey.

As per usual first team on the field sets up and the last team takes the equipment down. If no team arrives after your game don’t assume there is a game later, please put the equipment away.
